{Kiwi Lane June Blog Hop and *GIVEAWAY*}

Welcome! I hope you are enjoying your journey through this months blog hop. Be sure to leave a comment at each post along the way for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Kiwi Lane shop.  That includes the Kiwi Lane blog too!

I couldn't wait to start creating when Kristy with Kiwi Lane asked me to participate in this months blog hop. I chose to work with their Designer PLAYTIME accessory templates. They are so fun and easy to work with.

 When I first received the templates I thought for sure I would create some HERO type card with the lightning bolt or a birthday card with the car or rocket ship. When I actually sat down to create I kept staring at the shield and loved the resemblance of the LDS    CTR ring.  This stands for CHOOSE THE RIGHT. The image below is the exact ring given to children aged 3-11 during their years in primary.

In the LDS faith at the age of eight boys and girls have the choice to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I know in our family we give our children a set of their own scriptures along with a special CTR ring.  The ring is to help them remember to CHOOSE THE RIGHT.  As I was creating these special cards I couldn't help but reminisce the moments when my two older children were baptized.  I am excited to make more of these cards for my children to give to their friends as they also make the choice to be baptized.

 Thank you for "hopping" by.  Next stop is the talented Brenda Smith at The Imperfect Scrapper.
