{How to Edit a Photo - Tutorial}

As I have mentioned before, I {LOVE} to edit photographs! In fact I get asked all the time how I edit. So here you go a tutorial on how I edited this picture.

I edit using Photo Shop CS4. I know there are newer editions but haven't felt the need to upgrade yet. I use photo shop actions on ALL of my edits. The main ones I use are from  MCP ACTIONS .

Tutorial:
  1. Opened photo in Bridge Camera Raw and increased temperature +4.
  2. Then moved it to Photoshop CS4
  3. Ran Noiseware on Default setting.
  4. Merged the layers together.
  5. Ran Midtone lifter action at 50%. Masked back some skin and diaper. (MCP ACTIONS - BAG OF TRICKS).
  6. Ran Magic Light action at 12% and ran my brush over right side of picture. (MCP ACTIONS - BAG OF TRICKS).
  7. Merged the layers together.
  8. Ran Clarity action at 15% opacity. Masked back her skin.(MCP ACTIONS - BAG OF TRICKS).
  9.  Ran Magical Color Finder Intense action (MCP ACTIONS - BAG OF TRICKS)  went over blanket at 10%.
  10. Ran Magical Contrast action (MCP ACTIONS - BAG OF TRICKS) used the Low contrast on default setting.
  11. Ran Magic Skin action at 40% opacity.  (MCP ACTIONS)
  12. Ran Crystal Clear Web Sharpening Action (MCP ACTIONS) this prepares your image to upload to the Internet.

  1. Where would I find the noiseware setting?

  2. If you go to your Actions tab and click on noiseware you should see all the settings. Then you can change the opacity.
