{Thrift Store - REDO} BY JENNA ALLEN

I often see miscellaneous wood pieces at the thrift store. I kind of feel like they are forgotten because they look so sad. But if you just think about what a coat of paint would do for that lovely vintage shaped shelf or box, you’ll snatch them up quicker than I  grabbed this little box last time I was out.

I admit, first I thought it was a stool because there was no hardware on the drawer. Once I realized it was a drawer I got even more excited!

Here is the before:

Here it is after a little love:

I loved the wood tone and wanted to preserve some of the natural wood grain so I white washed it. It’s kind of a faux pickling finish.
I also added a cute little iron knob that I bought at Hobby Lobby.

Next time you walk through the wooden section of the thrift store take a second look at what is there.

  1. very cute, its kinda of like people, sometimes we ignore people or judge, them buy how, they look, but we can miss out on some of the best, relationships, truth is we all are a little worn on the edges, and we all look better, when we look like we have "lived" a bit...

  2. Thanks for sharing that. It is so true.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog. We love hearing from you.
